The small school children attended a Roman Cultural Presentation. They got to know all the facts through a fun and intellectual show. The presentation was a great success and children really enjoyed it. They remembered many facts about Romania and shared them with their families.
The presentation that we had on Thursday, March 7th was a part of 1st grade's intercultural project that is to raise children's awareness about different cultures. The main focus is on traditional food, national festivals, folktales, costumes, dance, music, history, language and geography. First grade has children from five different countries: Slovenia, Poland, Nigeria, Vietnam and Romania. They are getting to know each country by inviting embassy's representatives in to class to give presentations, organize trips to cultural centers and invite parents and their families to share their national folktales and customs, and experience and taste their traditional food. The last presentation was a great success and children really enjoyed it. They remembered many facts about Romania and shared them with their families.
