This October, grades 4-10 participated in the first installment of the "Blessings for Blessing pen-pal initiative". Each grade put together a homemade greeting card for Blessing Namala of the Providence Home in Uganda.
The cards were decorated with an autumn motif and will be followed by seasonal cards for the winter, spring and summer. We're hoping to create a correspondence with Blessing and her classmates that will grow over the years. The students all seemed to enjoy the process...especially the 8th grade, which is pictured above and took home honors for the most inspired greeting card. Special thanks to all those students who took leadership roles in this project. We look forward to the next installment.
