The children started their morning by a visit from a Pilgrim and Indian to learn about the history of Thanksgiving. After their visit, Pre-K to 1st grade came to the main hall for a presentation from a U.S Embassy representative about American Thanksgiving Traditions.
The children learned about: history, travel, typical food, making a wish on the wishbone, pardoning the turkey with the president of the United States and the Macy's Day Parade. To finish our celebration, the children got the opportunity to watch "Charlie Brown Thanksgiving". While the Pre-K- 1st graders watched their movie, the 2nd and 3rd graders watched the power point from our Representative followed by their chance to watch "Charlie Brown Thanksgiving". Our celebration finalized with the children eating a Thanksgiving lunch provided by the catering company!
