Please read the important information for the first days of school.
Dear IAS Students, Teachers, Parents, Family, and Friends,
25 years! It is the silver anniversary year of IAS! From our humble beginnings back in 1989 as the first post-communist private English speaking international school in Poland to 25 years of excellence in education and an IB world school, it has been quite a memorable journey. Along the way we have sent graduates to Oxford, Kings, MIT and countless other leading universities around the world. We have always been so proud to have seen our graduates spread their wings and enter the world with confidence and the skills they need to succeed. And it has all led us to here and now. As our 25th year anniversary, this will be an especially exciting year for everyone. We have new teachers and students joining us from around the world as well as many returning faces. This year’s graduating class of 2014-15 has so many shining stars that it will be an absolute pleasure to see them leading by example and paving the way for all the classes to come. And with a new year brings a fresh start.
We are bringing back, new and improved, some of the most beloved events from the past including the Art Festival, Lock-ins and Spirit Week as well as adding many fresh ideas including a spring Green School to Tunisia, an IAS Film Festival, a Bridge Building Competition and a Science Olympiad. Teachers have been hard at work all week planning and improving and building on the successes of the past, and everyone looks forward to working with the student council to make the 25th year at IAS the most epic year ever.
As we look forward to Monday and seeing all the new and familiar faces, let’s review some of the important information for the first days of school:

When students receive 10 silver stars, they will be presented with an award from the school during the end of year International Day celebration in June. These awards and gift show appreciation to students for their hard work.

Students will have the opportunity to buy new books from the school secretary in the main office and collect them using the receipt of purchase for grades PreK - 10 from Mr. Razvi Hussaini in the bookstore and for grades 11 - 12 from Mr. Uden. All books must be collected by all students by Friday, September 5th. Book store hours and price lists will be handed out on Monday, September 1st and posted on the information board as well.

Please be informed that all parents are responsible for their own child’s transport on Orientation Day, Monday, September 1st.
AMO CATERING will continue to provide lunchtime food service this school year. Representatives will be in school from 10 pm in both Dembego 12 and 18 on Monday, September 1st to register students for the lunch service.
