Over 3 Days in April 28/29/30, The Small School participated in a Spring Cooking class at Little Chef. Little Chef's mission is to teach healthy eating habits to children.
What better way to do this than thru hands on cooking! The chef instructors love to cook with best ingredients and to pass on their enthusiasm to little chefs. The classes were small so that they can focus on each child and help them learn new skills and find favorite foods. Little Chef's way to children's hearts (and stomachs!) is thru making cooking and eating well fun and the classes practical.
The spring menu included first vegetables of the season - radishes, carrots, lettuce, as well as favorites such as homemade pasta and a dessert.
The class took 1,5 hours during which time kids learnt about ingredients and techniques, cooked their own meal, cleaned up, set the table and sat down to a delicious meal.
