To reward students for completing their arduous end of semester exams, we celebrated today with a trip to Warsaw's National Stadium for some winter fun! The main event was ice skating within the spacious arena.
As a warm-up, students and homeroom teachers enjoyed the specially designed ice hill, down which they took rides on a special pontoon (a tube actually). After a short break, we rented ice skates and helmets and took to the frozen pitch! We had one hour together on the ice. For some students, it was their first time on skates and yet they managed quite well. Others who were more experienced skated as fast as the wind. This was our second visit to the stadium for ice skating and we hope to maintain the tradition for years to come!
