  • Q: Does the school have a long history; has it stood the test of time?
  • A: IAS is the first private international school ever established in Poland in the post-Communist era (1989). We are reaching our 28thanniversary. We are very proud of that.
 
  • Q: Does the school maintain the educational standards of one particular nation or continent?
  • A: As an international school, IAS incorporates the best methodologies and educational expertise from around the world. Administrators and teachers bring with them their knowledge of the educational standards in America, England, Ireland, Scotland, India, Poland, France, Germany, amongst other nations.
 
  • Q: Is the school accredited by international and national accrediting bodies?
  • A: IAS offers three diplomas, each accredited by the some of the most recognized accrediting bodies in the world: International Diploma, the International Baccalaureate Organization; American Diploma, AdvancED; Polish Diploma, Polish Ministry of Education.
 
  • Q: Does the school have a high achieving, challenging and well-rounded curriculum? 
  • A: By combining the knowledge and expertise from our teachers around the world, we have created an inter-disciplinary curriculum which is audited and approved by our accrediting bodies. Feel free to ask for a copy of our syllabus.

  • A: We at IAS place great emphasis on advanced mathematics as it is a core subject that opens up the intellect and facilitates critical thinking.
 
  • Q: Are all teachers qualified and certified? What is the percentage of teachers with advanced degrees and doctorates? 
  • A:  All IAS teachers are well qualified and go through a rigorous and professional recruitment process. 80% percent of our teachers have obtained their Master Degree and 13% are PhD holders. IAS also provides rigorous professional development programs for our teachers each year, including regular IBO training.
 
  • Q: How multicultural is the school body?
  • A: IAS recruits qualified teachers from the United States, United Kingdom and other parts of the world and fosters a dynamic international environment. The student body comprises over 40 different nationalities, ensuring cultural diversity and an environment of tolerance and harmony.

 

  • Q: What is the language of instruction? Does the school focus on other foreign languages?
  • A: The primary language of instruction at IAS is English. The other optional languages are Polish, German & French.
 
  • Q: How well do new students integrate into the school?
  • A: The IAS Student Council and class leaders ensure smooth integration of new students into the school system.. The 1:8 teacher-to-student ratio allows much needed mentoring attention during the child's assimilation process into the new school.
 
  • Q: What services are available for student counseling and University placement?
  • A: At IAS, we have a structured means for student counseling and university placement. IAS graduates have entered some of the top universities in the world, including Oxford, MIT & Stanford. 
 
  • Q: Does the school have a well planned program for extra-curricular activities?
  • A: We are most proud of the IAS Times Magazine, the daily IAS Radio show as well as our participation in the yearly Model United Nations, amongst many other activities. As well, each year students travel to different cities around Europe, the last trip taking place in Barcelona.
