On Tuesday, September 24th IAS Small School went on a field trip to the Kabaty Forest to create paintings in response to the landscape. Students from 1st-3rd grade participated in this trip and enjoyed a rich, creative experience. Students had the opportunity to enjoy the forest, observe natural surroundings and learn basic fundamentals of landscape painting.
After a brief introduction in the morning, students headed to the forest with their classes. They spent some time painting, eating lunch and playing, before returning to the school. Some of the student work has been displayed in the school and prizes were awarded for outstanding work. This trip is a tradition at the small school and we are looking forward to another successful trip next year!
