Contemporary Art Center

On Thursday, May 15th, the entire small school went to the contemporary art exhibit to learn about various forms of art.  The children in 1st-3rd grade learned about drama and how to create a short performance.  Each class created silhouette puppets and performed for each other. Grades PreKG and KG learned about sculptures. They were divided into small groups and created their own sculptures from various colors of tape and newspaper. The children had a great time and created a variety of sculptures ranging from: dogs, cats, snakes, and ninjas. After their workshop, the children enjoyed a picnic near the castle and an afternoon walk through Lazienki park.
