A message from Mr Uden
Dear IAS Community,
October has been a month of respect, kindness, and inclusion at IAS. As Halloween approaches, there is plenty of spooky excitement in the air. From celebrating what makes our community special to enjoying a little Halloween magic, it’s wonderful to see our students learning, connecting and having fun together.
As we look ahead to November, our focus will turn to integrity as our theme for that month. We will also be preparing for the upcoming student reports, which will be shared with families on 12 November.
Best regards,
Christopher Uden

IASMUN 2026: join the student conference
Students aged 14 to 19 are invited to the second edition of IASMUN, a student-led Model United Nations conference in Warsaw from 20 to 22 November 2026.
Across eight committees, delegates will debate global issues, practise public speaking, research, negotiation and teamwork, and meet students from Poland and across Europe.
First time at MUN?
No previous experience is required. Five beginner-friendly committees and a First-Timers Meeting will help new delegates get started. Students in Grades 11 and 12 may also be able to count participation towards relevant CAS experiences.
Apply by 13 November 2026. IAS students receive a 30 PLN discount with the code iasstudents, for IAS students only. Places on beginner committees are limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Halloween: Friday, 30 October
D18: Grades 6 to 10
In the morning, students will take part in the Trick-or-Treat Passport Activity, visiting classrooms throughout D18 for games, stamps and treats. In the afternoon, everyone will come together for a Halloween disco and costume competition.
Students are welcome to wear costumes, which must follow the school dress code. For safety and security reasons, masks may only be put on once students have entered the building.
D12: a day of Halloween activities
Classrooms and the school will be decorated with pumpkins, ghosts and Halloween surprises during the week. On 30 October, regular lessons will give way to a day of activities: a disco in the D18 cafeteria, films, pumpkin decorating, trick-or-treating, games and a competition for the best Halloween costume.
Get your costumes ready and bring your ideas!
After-school clubs
The weekly clubs timetable is below. Select the image to see the full-size version.

Across the chessboard, across year groups
Every Wednesday, students from KG to Grade 5 join older students at D18 for Games Club. Chess, board games and building challenges give everyone a chance to make new friends, share skills and spend time with students from other year groups.

Grades 9 and 10 visit Och-Teatr
On Thursday, students in Grades 9 and 10 studying Polish Language and Literature went to Och-Teatr to watch Dead Poets Society.
The play follows a teacher who encourages his students to think for themselves, follow their interests and have the courage to be who they are. The visit brought these themes out of the classroom and onto the stage. Students also learnt about theatre etiquette and respectful behaviour during a live performance.

Our CAS integration trip
This week’s Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) integration trip took our students to Gdańsk and the Baltic coast. City walks, time by the sea, shared activities and an evening together gave everyone a chance to get to know one another outside the classroom.
Here are a few moments from the trip, along with our latest Instagram reel.

School meals

Complete your catering details
If you choose school catering, please register or sign in to the IAS iKuchnia panel and complete your details and your child’s details. For siblings, use “Add child” in the same account. Then choose the dates and meals, press “Order” to confirm, and arrange payment under “Balance” → “Pay”. Creating an account alone does not order lunch. Please arrange any allergies or special diets directly with the kitchen through iKuchnia.

Register your interest in school transport
If your family needs school transport, please complete the transport interest form with your contact details, your child’s name and grade, pick-up area and the journeys you need. Please direct transport questions to Michael Ceesay through the school office. The form is an expression of interest; availability, fees and the service agreement are confirmed with the provider.
Complete the transport formWe’re building IAS Online
We’re actively developing IAS Online, a school system for families, students and staff. It will bring student information, timetables, attendance, assignments, learning materials and school messages together in one place.
Work is under way, and we’ll share more as it takes shape.
Recommend IAS to another family
If you know a family looking for a school, please put them in touch with our admissions team. The IAS referral programme offers a 2,000 PLN tuition credit for an eligible new-family referral.
The new family must give the referring parent’s name at first contact, before submitting application documents. This is separate from the sibling discount. Please check the referral terms or contact [email protected].
Safety guidance for families and staff
We have condensed the ministry’s pupil guides into short English and Polish PDFs for families. Staff resources also include a summary of Warsaw’s crisis-response guide. The original documents are available alongside each summary.
