A message from Mr Uden
Dear IAS Community,
Our monthly theme for September is Welcoming, and it has been wonderful to see this theme reflected across our school community.
Our clubs started this week, and it has been really nice to see our students getting involved and making the most of our extended after-school activities.
Today, we also held integration events in both buildings, bringing students together for a day of collaboration, puzzles and fun activities. It was a great opportunity for our students to spend time together, get to know one another and strengthen our sense of community.
Thank you to all the staff who helped make these activities possible, and to our students for embracing the spirit of Welcoming!
Best regards,

Lunch arrangements from 28 September
From Monday 28 September, students from KG through Grade 8, including Grades 6 to 8 at D18, will stay in the school building during lunchtime.
This change is intended to keep students safe and encourage balanced lunches rather than sugary snacks. Students are welcome to bring a packed lunch from home or use the school’s catering service. Catering is optional.
There will be a dedicated time for students to visit the shop after lunch, accompanied by teachers.
We will share the revised Student Mobility Policy and further details next week. If you would like school meals, sign up and order through the IAS iKuchnia panel. Please select and confirm the meals after registering. You can find more information on the catering page.
IASMUN 2026: meet the students behind it
Our latest IASMUN film introduces this year’s Secretariat and walks through how to apply. The conference takes place in Warsaw from 20 to 22 November 2026.
In Model United Nations, students represent countries, debate international issues and work together on resolutions. This year’s theme is Global Security in a New World Order.
Thinking of taking part? Watch the film, then visit the IASMUN page for committees, deadlines and the application link.

Our first podcast: Beyond IB

What would you like to know before starting IB? In the first IAS Podcast episode, Sofia talks with IAS alumnus Pavan about choosing subjects, revising for exams and moving on to university.
The first episode is now on our website, along with three short clips. If you are choosing IB subjects or starting to think about university, take a look.
Watch the episode, or choose a clip about exam preparation, university or advice before IB. You can also share the clips and tag @iaswarsaw.
Clubs are under way
After-school clubs started this week in D12 and D18, including art and football.
At D12 Football Club, two high school volunteers helped organise the group and made sure everyone could join in. When rain brought the session indoors, the conversation turned to sportsmanship: how to speak to teammates, work together and treat opponents with respect.
The revised timetable is below. Drama meets on Thursday, and Thursday football for Grades 6 to 10 starts at 15:15. You can also check each day’s activities in the calendar above.
Grades 1 to 5 at Górka Kazurka
Grades 1 to 5 headed to Górka Kazurka for their first house competitions of the school year. With CAS students helping, teams raced around cones, balanced tennis balls on boards and competed in a beanbag toss.
After a picnic lunch, they climbed the hill and took in the view across Kabaty.
Grade 7: all three teams escaped
All 14 Grade 7 students joined Mr Kazim and Mr Jan for an escape-room trip on 18 September. They split into three teams for the Musketeers, Olympus and Interactive rooms.
Each team had to share clues, listen to one another and decide which ideas to try before time ran out. All three teams escaped within the time limit.
Lunch at Złote Tarasy rounded off the day.
Grade 8 at Hangar 646
After their trip to Hangar 646, Julianna and Oliwia shared these thoughts.
“The trip is an amazing way for students to get to know each other! Jumping around can be extremely tiring, but at least you have friends to do it with you!”Julianna
“I think it is an amazing way to get people to interact with each other and get to learn from each other while getting to talk and socialize with classmates.”Oliwia
Grade 9: four rounds of bowling
Grade 9 bowled four rounds, with a few strikes and even more spares. The gutter balls? We won’t be counting those.
Mr Christopher joined the class in Ms Hanna’s place, with Mr Benjamin leading the outing. Thank you to both teachers for the day.
Grade 10’s day out
Grade 10 spent Friday 18 September together on their class integration trip.
They finished the outing with lunch together.
Grade 11: Mystery and Pyramid
At Dom Zagadek, Grade 11 split into two groups to take on the Mystery and Pyramid escape rooms. They compared clues, tried ideas and worked their way out together.
Afterwards, the class went to Złote Tarasy for food and time to catch up.
Grade 12: puzzles at Kreatywny Świat
Grade 12 spent their integration trip at Kreatywny Świat, solving escape-room puzzles together. It was time away from the usual school routine, with clues to follow and challenges to work through as a class.
The class said they would like to go again.
Packed lunches or school catering
Children can bring a balanced packed lunch from home. If school meals work better for your family, catering sign-up is still open. Please choose whichever option suits you.
To order from Kuchnia z Klasą, register or log in to the IAS iKuchnia panel. Open Order/cancel meal, select the days and meals, then confirm with Order. Go to Balance → Pay to make your payment.
Registering an account does not place a meal order. Families with more than one child can use Add child within the same account. Please send menu, allergy and dietary questions to the kitchen through the ordering system.
Need school transport?
Transport sign-up is still open. If you are interested in the Little Monsters service, use the form on our transport page to share your address and the journeys you need.
The operator uses families’ locations to plan routes and confirms availability and prices directly. The form registers your interest; it does not reserve a seat or create a transport agreement.
For help, contact the school office on +48 22 649 14 40.
