In the Loop: IAS Bulletin 27 October – 31 October, 2025

Message from Principal

Dear IAS Community,

Next week our students will be preparing for the Halloween celebrations taking place on Friday. After all the effort they have put into their studies since the beginning of the school year, this will be a great opportunity for them to relax and have some fun. D12 will be visiting the Pumpkin Farm on that day, while D18 will enjoy a full schedule of Halloween-themed activities and games, the details of which you can find below.

The following weeks will be a more intensive period, as students complete assessments and teachers prepare mid-semester reports. These reports are scheduled to be issued on November 14th. The week after, parents will have the opportunity to meet with their child’s teachers. Full details about these meetings will be shared soon.

Wishing you all a restful weekend!

Halloween Event Reminder

Get ready for some ghoulishly good fun! This is a friendly reminder that our annual Halloween Event is happening soon next Friday, October 31! We are looking forward to a day that’s absolutely fab-BOO-lous. As part of the festivities, students are invited to wear costumes. We encourage creativity, but we must keep in mind that all costumes need to maintain an environment that is safe and appropriate for all students.

Don’t let your costume be a monstrosity that breaks the rules! To ensure that all costumes adhere to the school’s dress code policy, you can review the Dress Code Policy accessible on this website: https://community.ias.edu.pl/about-us/policies/ Students wearing costumes that do not follow the dress code will be asked to change into regular school clothing. We appreciate your cooperation in reviewing these guidelines before the event—it means a great deal!

In the morning, D18 will have homeroom games and trick-or-treating followed by an afternoon of house competitions. The day will end with a costume contest for the following: Most Creative, Scariest, Funniest, Group/ Partner and Teacher Costumes!

MYP 7th Grade Science

In celebration of Halloween and the Mexican tradition of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), the Grade 7 students brought science and art together in a creative and colorful way. As part of their lesson on the skeletal system, they designed bright and decorative skeletons and skulls inspired by Día de los Muertos. Each piece showcased their creativity and understanding of the human body, decorated with vibrant patterns and cultural flair.

Their artworks were displayed around the classroom, turning it into a lively space filled with color, culture, and learning. The project made studying anatomy both fun and engaging, while introducing students to Mexico’s unique way of honoring Halloween traditions. Happy Halloween and ¡Feliz Día de los Muertos!
