D12 Spirit week
Not satisfied with one Spirit Week, D12 staff have planned another Spirit Week for this week!
Derryfield
On March 21, 2024, students from IAS joined their American counterparts from The Derryfield School in New Hamshire for a guided tour of the former Warsaw Ghetto before enjoying a luncheon hosted at Czerwony Wieprz, a Polish restaurant located at the historic corner of Zelazna and Chłodna. Students from both schools went on a walking tour beginning on Złota before heading north to the Palace of Culture and Science, the POLIN Museum, Umschlagplatz, and finishing at Czerwony Wieprz.
The Derryfield students were on a planned history expedition to Poland that had already taken them to Krakow and would finish in Berlin. IAS students and staff were delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to their experience. The trip served as a method of cultural exchange as our international student body intermingled and socialized with students from abroad, promoting culture, cooperation, and historical dialogue. The administration would like to thank Mr. Christopher Simpson for arranging this exchange happen!
Culture Day
Culture Day at D18 was a massive success and a great representation of our international community. The administration would like to thank our Grade 12 students Nina, Monika, Maja and Amir for arranging this event. Check out some of the photos below!
Upcoming dates to note
