G4 Polin trip

In Language Arts our fourth graders are reading a book called “Number the Stars” about history and life of Jews during World War II.  To discover and learn more about it, our class went to the Polin Museum. First, we visited the exhibition where we found out about Jewish history, everyday life traditions. Then, students took part in a short workshop where they learned about Shabbat celebration. The trip was very interesting and helped us gain more insights about the Jewish culture. The trip was led by Ms. Sylwia and Ms. Nancy.

Middle school learners of the month February and March

February – Balanced: We understand the importance of balancing different aspects of our lives—intellectual, physical, and emotional—to achieve well-being for ourselves and others. We recognize our interdependence with other people and with the world in which we live.

5 Alikhan Nurpeissov

Alikhan is highlighted frequently by teachers across all subjects for his commitment to his studies. He is a motivated and frequent contributor. Alikhan is equally motivated in his involvement in lunchtime football and other school activities. He embodies the spirit of a balanced student. Well done, Alikhan!

6 Gabriel Gmytrasiewicz

Gabe has been a superstar in G6 English! Constantly engaged and adding to our discussions with relevant and deeply thoughtout commentary. The stories he tells us show that he thinks a lot about how to balance being a good friend and brother with completing his schoolwork. Bravo, Gabe!

7 Daniel Ritzl

For those that have the opportunity to chat with Dani will quickly realise that he is one very organised and dedicated 7th Grader. He currently balances full time studies at IAS with full-time distance learning studies for his Hungarian school. He never misses an assignment at IAS despite the workload and sets a great example for his class! Congratulations, Dani!

8 Tinru Zhou (Luisa)

Luisa is a motivated and hard-working student in 8th Grade. Beyond the academics she is actively involved other school events and activities. Most notably she showed great skill in her interactions with D12 students during our Lunar New Year event. Great work Luisa!

March – Principled: We act with integrity and honesty, with a strong sense of fairness and justice, and with respect for the dignity and rights of people everywhere. We take responsibility for our actions and their consequences.

5 Alicja Jabłońska

Alicja shows dedication to her work and is careful to complete assigned work even after an absence. When she is in class, the thoughts she shares shows consideration for the individual experiences of her classmates, rather than focusing on her own. Well done Alicja!

6 Semen Vorobiov

Even in his last month at IAS, Semen was extremely attentive to assignments and worked well right up to the end of the month. Most notably he was adept at the unit on academic integrity as the class learned for the first time how to cite sources. Best of luck to you, Semen!

7 Vivienne Krawczyk

Vivienne consistently demonstrates integrity in her classwork, always attributing credit where it’s due and maintaining high standards of academic honesty. Her exemplary conduct reflects the core values of the IB learner profile, fostering a culture of integrity and responsibility within our school community. Great work Vivienne

8 Ekaterina Kopytova

A capable and motivated writer, Ekaterina is setting the pace in her ESL class. Beyond that she has been recognized by her teachers for being a top contributor in many subjects. She is not only focused on her own success and active in supporting all other students that need help. Well done Ekaterina!
