This week marks the start of Ramadan, the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. Muslims are required to spend the full month abstaining from food and drink during daylight hours as it is a means of honoring their faith. I understand that the first few days of Ramadan are particularly challenging so be mindful and show them our support and respect.
Staff training – March 27th
I am writing to inform you that the Spring staff training has been rescheduled for the afternoon of Monday March 27, 2023. On this day, all afternoon lessons and swietlica after school care will be cancelled so that all our teaching staff can attend mandatory professional development training. All students should be collected from school by 12:40.
These professional development sessions take place twice a year with the last training taking place in November.
The dates for these sessions have been carefully selected to fit into the academic calendar. With that in mind, I am writing this letter to clarify school hours at both school locations so you can make the necessary arrangements.
Dembego 12:
- Classes end 4th period
- School lunch provided and finishing at 12:30
- Buses home at 12:30
- Swietlica is cancelled.
- School is closed to students at 13:00
Dembego 18:
- Classes end 4th period
- School lunch provided and finishing at 12:30
- Buses home at 12:30
- School closed to students at 13:00

Pi Day (D18)
Mr. Halil, Mr. Hakon and Ms. Aneta organized a series of challenging activities to mark Pi Day (3.14). Check out some of the photos below.
St. Patrick’s Day
On St. Patrick’s Day a rather tall leprechaun was spotted around D12 and D18. Luckily D12 students had read about the lore in advance and knew exactly what to do!
