10B Art trip

On Tuesday November 8th grade 10thB, as a part of Art class curriculum, visited two exhibitions. Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw was presenting 75 years of the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Art. In the Museum of Modern Art a display “Walka o ulice” is on show. With some principle ideas borrowed from an American urban activist Janette Sadik-Khan’s “Streetfight: Handbook for an Urban Revolution” this second one creates an entertaining and contemporaneous point of view on modern city.

Polish trip

On the trip in the footsteps of the reading Kamienie na szaniec, students of grades 7 and 8 went after reading the book, which touches on a topic is very difficult to convey to young people, especially when not everyone is aware of the seriousness of the issues raised about the problems of everyday life, the struggle for honor and the heroism of people who had to face the face of war.

The tour brought the participants both closer to the most important events in the lives of Zoska, Rudy and Alek.

The students visited the Pawiak Prison Museum, the place of the climax of the ‘action under the Arsenal’, the Nicolaus Copernicus monument and, at the end, lit candles on the graves of the heroes of the reading at the Powazki Military Park.

The students were delighted with the trip.

8th Grade trip

8th Grade students visited the botanical gardens at the Warsaw University for a guided tour of the University of Warsaw Botanical Gardens regarding the topic of flowers and seed dispersal. Students will study this unit in class from this week.
