News

After an action packed few weeks the upcoming week will give staff and students a chance to draw their breath and return to normal. Students and staff enjoyed a marvelous festival atmosphere in D12 and in D18 on Friday for our annual Halloween celebrations. There are just a few photos attached here but plenty more to follow on our social media this week.

Project “Integration with people with physical disabilities, October 2022.”

The premise of the project was to allow IAS students (Grades 5 – 10) to experience the perspective of people with physical disabilities and their caregivers. The activities were conducted with the help of rented rehabilitation wheelchairs.

In the first part of the project, students attempted to navigate nearby streets, shops and public transport. Students experienced first-hand the challenges that are faced by those with physical disabilities.

The second part of the project was carried out in the sports hall as part of P.E. lessons and began with a reminder of field activities. Students had the opportunity to see the difference in rehabilitation and active wheelchairs.

This project was led by our school nurse Małgorzata Sypniewska and supported by our PE Teachers Marika Florczak and Jan Wierzbicki
