The movement of signing will also help us add a kinesthetic aspect to our learning which should help better retain the concepts we introduce at school.

1st – 4th Grade clubs

Yoga/mindfulness activities – Veronica Krawiec

During yoga and mindfulness club, students will have various activities that will help them slow down, focus on the present moment, and be calm. Some days we will have movement yoga. The movement yoga classes combine yoga poses and stretching with stories, songs, dancing, and finally relaxation to connect to our bodies. Other times, we may practice mindfulness activities.  Some mindfulness activities might be coloring, journaling, breathing strategies, playing with kinetic sand or playdough, or making a mindfulness tool or craft.
