 News/Items:

Another busy week ahead of us here at IAS Warsaw. The campaigns of our presidential candidates are almost at an end. There will be one last chance to grab the attention of voters during the D18 debates on Tuesday that will moderated by Ms. Winzeler. Details of the schedule of these debates are below. The vote will be held on Wednesday morning in D12 and D18.

Our annual fall Sports will take place on Friday and will be split into two parts. The first section will be an orienteering run for which we cooperate with a professional orienteering game organizer. In the afternoon, D12 will have normal lessons and D18 students will participate in planned sports competitions.

Participation in the annual Fall and Spring Sports Days are mandatory for all students. These are key opportunities to practice and grow teamwork and leadership skills beyond the classroom setting.

D18 School president debate schedule (Tuesday)

08:45 – 09:30 – 5th, 6th, & 7th Grade

09:35 – 10:20 – 8th & 9th Grade

10:25 – 11:10 – 11th & 12th Grade

11:15 – 11:50 – 10th Grade

House integration

Despite the cloudy weather, students and teachers shone bright during our first house event of the school year which took place on the autumnal equinox. They competed in a series of games and activities aimed and integrating students across grades 5-12.

Results from the competition will be announced next week.

 Stay tuned!

 D12 trip to Klemen’s Orchard:

The Dembego 12 students spent a very fun day on a trip to Sady Klemensa (Klemens’s orchard) yesterday. They made wooden animals, had a ride in a mini train, jumped on bouncy castles and walked through a rope park.

D18 Class integration trips:

5th Grade trip to Wilanów Royal Park.

5th Grade had a great trip to Wilanów Royal Park with homeroom teachers Ms. Agnieszka and Mr. Rafal. The students with a guide walked around the park and explored its nature. They observed ducks, insects and plants. They even saw oranges on the trees and admired exotic flowers.  They also learned about the Royal Palace and its most famous resident, King John III. The weather was excellent and all the students went back to school tired but happy.  It was a nice time to get to know each other, talk, and spend actively time together.

 7th Grade trip to TEPfactor

On September 20, the 7th graders went to Tepfactor, a cave full of mystery, fun, and physical exhaustion. They conquered deadly traps, intricate puzzles, and shopping mall escalators to forge unbreakable bonds with one another. Blue City, where TepFactor is located, had not experienced competitive spirit like that before. Lunch was on the line and they took the challenge seriously. Hobbled but victorious, they made it back to IAS, but the 7th grade that returned was not the 7th grade that left at 8.45. They’re a different beast now and that beast is afraid of nothing.

10th Grade trip to laser tag

10th Grade had an awesome trip to Gamp Lasertag at Ursus. The students split into four teams and played a thrilling tournament.

Big congratulations to the winning team: Karolis, Max, Victor, Nicholas, Elyas, and Anton.

Honorable mention: Henrique, with the highest individual score overall.

After the tournament, we all enjoyed some tasty Italian pizza together at Osteria Piemonte.

 Updated class schedule:

The adjusted schedule of classes is now available online since Friday evening. Mr. Mehdi has also adjusted the website so that a password is not necessary. Just go to schedule.ias.edu.pl and click timetable to view your class schedule.

 Please Update your information:

Dear parents & students, if you have changed your address, e-mail address or telephone numbers, please let the office know so that we can update our database to improve communication with you.

Thank you,
IAS Administration
