The International American School of Warsaw opened in 1989 as the first private American school in post-communist Poland. It teaches children from kindergarten to Grade 12 in English, with seven students to every teacher and more than forty nationalities in the school. Students graduate on one of three routes: the IB Diploma, the American High School Diploma, or the Polish Matura. The school is accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization, by Cognia, and by the Polish Ministry of Education. It occupies two buildings on ulica Dembego in Ursynów, five minutes on foot from Kabaty metro station, and has taught more than a thousand graduates in thirty seven years.
Shorter, where space is tight. The International American School of Warsaw has taught in English in Ursynów since 1989. It offers the IB Diploma, the American High School Diploma and the Polish Matura, from kindergarten to Grade 12.
