What it is
What the Diploma involves.
Students take six subjects, three at higher level and three at standard, chosen across language and literature, a second language, individuals and societies, sciences, mathematics, and the arts.
Theory of Knowledge
A course that asks students to examine how they know what they claim to know, across every subject rather than inside one.
The Extended Essay
Four thousand words of independent research on a question the student chooses. For most of them it is the longest thing they have ever written.
Creativity, Activity, Service
Sustained commitment outside the classroom, over two years rather than in a burst before a deadline.
The Diploma is scored out of 45. Each subject is graded 1 to 7, which gives 42, and up to three further points come from Theory of Knowledge and the Extended Essay together.

The subject average is the figure worth pausing on. A diploma total can be lifted by one exceptional student in a small cohort. A subject average describes how the whole group did, subject by subject, and it is the harder number to flatter. Results were strongest in English A Language and Literature, Business Management, and Psychology.
Honestly
Who the Diploma suits, and who it does not.
The IB rewards students who like breadth, who want to keep several university options open, and who can hold three or four deadlines in their head at once. It asks for consistent work across two years rather than a strong final sprint.
It is not the right fit for everyone, and we would rather say so before Grade 11 than after. A student who already knows they want to specialise early, or who is carrying a heavy load outside school, is often better served by the American High School Diploma or by the Polish Matura. All three are taught here, so changing direction does not mean changing school.
Before Grade 11
The years before Grade 11.
Middle School is a candidate school for the IB Middle Years Programme. Candidate status is a stage in the authorisation process and is not the same as being authorised. We say so plainly because the distinction matters to families comparing schools.
In practice the years before the Diploma are where the habits are made: independent research, writing at length, and being asked to justify an answer rather than produce one. Classes are kept small, and in the Diploma years that matters more than anywhere else in the school. With about seven students to each teacher, a supervisor knows where every Extended Essay has got to without having to ask.

Where
Grades 6 to 12 are at ul. Dembego 18 in Ursynow, five minutes on foot from Kabaty metro and on the edge of the Kabaty forest.
Language
English is the language of instruction, and English support sits inside ordinary lessons for students still building fluency.
Fees
The IB Organization charges its own registration and examination fees for Grades 11 and 12. Those sit outside school tuition, so budget for them separately.
