PreKG · Starting Pre-KG
Children get used to school routines through play, stories and practical activities. PreKG opens according to demand. Ask admissions about availability and the right start for your child.
Kindergarten · Starting Kindergarten
Children learn through stories, creative play and everyday English, and begin to make friends in their class. Visit the early years classrooms and talk to the team about how your child will settle in.
Grades 1–2 · Reading, writing and numbers
Children develop reading, writing and number skills alongside languages, art and physical activity. Grades 1 and 2 are based at Dembego 12. Teachers can discuss your child’s progress and any support they need.
Grades 3–4 · Learning through projects
Children work on projects, practise languages and take part in sport and group activities. Ask teachers about the subjects and activities your child enjoys and where they need more practice.
Grade 5 · Preparing for Middle School
Students take more responsibility for their work as they prepare for the move to Middle School. Grade 5 is based at Dembego 12. Students move to Dembego 18 for Grade 6.
Grades 6–8 · Specialist subjects
Students work with subject teachers, carry out research and give presentations. Their academic planner helps them organise homework and projects. Middle School is at Dembego 18. IAS is an MYP candidate school; candidacy does not guarantee authorisation.
Grade 9 · Planning ahead
College counselling begins as students consider their interests and possible courses of study. Students and families can discuss future subject choices with the school.
Grade 10 · Choosing a diploma route
Pre-IB preparation helps students plan their studies and consider subjects for the final two years. Discuss the requirements of each diploma pathway with your child’s teachers and counsellor.
Grade 11 · Beginning the diploma years
Students begin their chosen diploma programme. IB Diploma students take six subjects alongside Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS. Teachers and counsellors help students manage their studies and prepare university applications.
Grade 12 · Examinations and graduation
Students complete coursework, take their final examinations and prepare to leave school. The college counselling team supports students with applications and plans for further study.
Beyond IAS · After IAS
IAS has more than 1,000 graduates who have gone on to study and work in Poland and abroad. Graduates can stay in touch through the school’s alumni community.
