The IAS library
A circulating collection of more than 35,000 English editions, with Polish, German, French and Spanish shelves alongside them.
The library supports reading and research across the school, including students who are developing their English.
The circulating collection runs to more than 35,000 English editions, alongside periodicals and materials for research, homework and essay writing, and digital resources that widen what a student can reach from a desk. The shelves are not English only: there are Polish novels and Polish academic books, and sections in German, French and Spanish.
Books for the year
At the start of each school year students are issued loaner books and workbooks by the IAS Librarian, and return them at the end of it. The school provides the books students need for their courses.
Kept current
An ongoing exchange with the faculty keeps the collection matched to what is being taught now. Teachers discuss the books and resources their classes need with the librarian.
Working there
Computer facilities and internet access sit alongside the shelves, so students can find, use and cite what they need in one place. Students use these resources for assignments, including the Extended Essay.

Dictionaries and encyclopedias. English books, reference and novels. Geography, history, science and mathematics. German, French and Spanish. Computers. Polish, Polish novels and Polish academic books. Sports and guides. Children’s books, cooking and gardening.
