Who accredits what

International Baccalaureate Organization
IAS is an authorised IB World School. The IBO granted authorisation for the Diploma Programme in 2006, and the school has taught it every year since. The directory entry is public and can be checked at ibo.org under school 003087.
What the authorisation covers
Authorisation applies to the IB Diploma Programme, the two year course taken in Grades 11 and 12. Students take six subjects plus Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity, Service. The Diploma is scored out of 45 and recognised by universities in more than 150 countries.
Additional courses have been offered to Diploma students through the Pamoja online platform, at additional cost:

Courses in additional mother tongue languages are supported on parental request, including Chinese.
Cognia
Cognia accredits the American High School Diploma, from Kindergarten through Grade 12. It is a non-profit accreditation body focused on student learning and educational quality.
About Cognia
Cognia was formed by the merger of AdvancED and Measured Progress, to connect school evaluation with student assessment. It is a global non-profit working in more than 80 countries, supporting some 36,000 institutions.
It offers accreditation and certification, assessment, professional learning and improvement services. Accreditation is reviewed rather than granted once, so a school is measured against the standards on a continuing basis.
Polish Ministry of Education
National recognition, which keeps the programme aligned with Polish requirements and makes the Matura route available on the same campus.
What this allows
The Ministry oversees education and upbringing in Poland. Its inspectors cover preschool education, general secondary education, special and vocational education, external examinations and extracurricular programmes.
Under this accreditation IAS is authorised to conduct the state examinations in Grade 3 and Grade 6, organised by the Regional Examination Commission. Polish students may also sit and pass the Matura.
College Board
IAS is an official SAT test centre. This is a test centre authorisation rather than a school accreditation, and it means students sit the SAT on their own campus.
Who this matters to
SAT requirements vary by university and course. Check the requirements of the institutions you plan to apply to. Students applying there sit the test here rather than travelling to another centre for it, on published dates through the school year.

Middle Years Programme candidacy.
Since 2025 the IAS Middle School has been a candidate school for the IB Middle Years Programme, the IB programme for students aged 11 to 16. Candidacy means the school is working through IB authorisation and aligning its teaching with the framework.
Only schools authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organization can offer the Middle Years Programme. Candidate status is a stage in that process and does not guarantee that authorisation will be granted.

What three accreditations allow.
Because all three bodies accredit the same school, a student can graduate holding the IB Diploma, an American Diploma and the Polish Matura together, when they complete each programme’s requirements. Students taking the IB or the Matura are also awarded the American diploma, subject to completion of the programme requirements.

Polish Ministry of Education
The Ministry of Education oversees “education and upbringing” within Poland and was created by the transformation of the Ministry of Education and Science. Its inspectors oversee issues related to preschool education, general secondary education, special and vocational education, external examinations, extracurricular programs and instructional strategies. Given this accreditation, IAS is authorized to conduct state exams in the 3rd and 6th grades organized by the Regional Examination Commission. Polish students also have the possibility to take and pass their high school exam, the “Polska Matura”.

AS is an official SAT testing center, providing examinations for students who are interested in attending university in the United States (SAT scores are a requirement for students in the U.S.).
