In The Loop
What a start to the year. It has been wonderful to welcome everyone back.
Watch
It has been a strong first week. It is good to have the students back, to see our grounds in Konstancin in use, and to have our new transport and catering arrangements underway.

Message from the
Principal
Dear IAS Community,
Welcome back! We have now opened sign-ups for our after-school clubs in both buildings. This year, we are offering a wider range of clubs running throughout the week, and we are very pleased to be placing a greater emphasis on extracurricular activities. I would strongly encourage parents to talk with their children about the opportunities available and encourage them to take part.
Our PHE classes have also started using our grounds in Konstancin, and we are very happy to be expanding the opportunities available to students for sport and physical activity. Next week, we will also be holding Student Council elections. This is an important opportunity for students to have a voice in school life, develop their leadership skills, and contribute positively to our community.

Announcements
Student Council President elections
Next week we are holding the elections for Student Presidents. So far, we only have one running team made up of Yukta and Adiya. Accordingly, nominations will remain open till Monday at 10am. However, campaigning will begin from today.

New IAS MYP student planners
Every MYP student has received a yearly planner designed by our school specifically to meet the needs of IAS students. It will help them take an active role in organising their learning by recording assignments, deadlines and important dates. The planner also contains useful reference materials and activities which support development of Approaches to Learning skills.
Community website and timetable
The updated timetable will be implemented from Monday. Please check for any changes. Parents and students can access it on the community website, and we would encourage you to make use of the resource.
Please keep your family details up to date
There is now a Contact details update form on the community website. If anything has changed over the summer, a phone number, an email address, a home address, a PESEL or passport number, or the people we may release your child to, this is where to tell us.
It takes two minutes and it is the record the office works from when we need to reach you quickly. Please check it once at the start of the year even if nothing has changed, so we know the record is current.
After-school
Clubs
We are excited to launch our After-School Clubs for the 2026-2027 school year. Clubs will begin during the week of 14 September.
Students and families can review club offerings and sign up using the sign-up sheets that will be available in the lobbies of both school buildings from 7 to 12 September.
We encourage students to explore new interests, develop talents, and connect with friends through our range of club opportunities.

The programme adds after-school opportunities in music, visual arts, performance, writing and emotional development. Between them the strands cover vocal training, instruments, choir and band, painting, drawing, photography and film, acting and musical theatre, creative writing, and yoga, relaxation and concentration work.
Both group and individual classes will be available. We will share the confirmed schedule as the programme begins.

Meals
From this September the meals at IAS are cooked by Kuchnia z Klasą, a Warsaw catering company that has worked with schools and kindergartens for more than twelve years. Everything is made from scratch on the day. Pork is not used at all, and veal and turkey are served in its place.

Tasting days, next week
| Classes | Day |
|---|---|
| KG to Grade 5 | Monday 7 September |
| Grades 6 to 9 | Monday 7 September |
| Grades 10 to 12 | Tuesday 8 September |
There is no charge and nothing to sign up for. Every student in those year groups eats.
Please ask your child to stay in school for lunch on their tasting day rather than going out to the nearby shops. That is the point of the day: to try the food before you decide whether to order it.
How meals work

Kindergarten and lower elementary at Dembego 12 receive breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack as one daily set. Upper elementary, middle and high school at Dembego 18 choose from the full lunch menu. There are meat and vegetarian options every day, plus dairy free, gluten free and egg free options, with individual diets arranged directly with the kitchen.
Ordering
Register at ikuchnia.com.pl, log in, open the “Order/cancel meal” tab, choose your meals, then pay from the “Balance” tab. You order, change and cancel day by day, yourself, and the system works in English as well as Polish. With more than one child, register once and add each further child with the “Add child” button.
Kuchnia z Klasą cook for several Warsaw schools and each school has its own ordering page, so please use the IAS panel linked from our school meals page.
Questions about menus, allergies or an individual diet go to the kitchen through the ordering system, since they answer those directly. For anything else, the school office is glad to help.

Transport

Our home to school transport partner for 2026-2027, sixteen years of carrying children safely.

This year IAS is working with Little Monsters to provide a dedicated home to school transport service. The company has sixteen years of experience transporting children and young people, with licensed professional drivers and vehicles suited to school transport.
Routes are still being built around the addresses of the families who sign up. If you are considering the service, please register your interest as soon as you can, because the stops are planned around who comes forward. The estimated monthly cost is between 600 and 1,100 PLN, depending on the route.
Routes, timings and the sample agreement: ias.edu.pl/support/transportation
The Kabaty metro station is a two hundred metre walk from school, so the metro remains a straightforward option for older students.
