Happy Halloween from everyone at IAS! On Friday, 30 October, both school buildings were full of costumes, games and trick-or-treating.
A special thank-you goes to Grade 11, who turned the D18 cafeteria into a Halloween disco for students from both buildings. They put up the decorations and arranged the coloured lights, ready for music and dancing.
At D12, the day began with pumpkin painting. Witches, ghosts, superheroes and princesses then took on the challenges prepared by each grade, from mummy wrapping and bowling to trivia and monster-making. The costume competition gave everyone a chance to show what they had come dressed as.
Students in Grades 6 to 10 visited one another’s classrooms for games including Mummy Wrap, a scavenger hunt and Ding Dong Pong. There was plenty happening beyond the dance floor.
Thank you to the students and staff who prepared the rooms, organised the games and made time for the younger children to join in. And thank you to everyone who came in costume. We hope you enjoy this little Halloween greeting!
