Applications for 2026/2027 are open at the International American School of Warsaw. Families living in Warsaw and those planning a move are welcome to apply. Mid-year entry depends on places in the relevant grade and the requirements of the programme.
About the school
IAS has taught in Warsaw since 1989 and has students from more than 40 nationalities. We offer education from the early years through Grade 12. Pre-KG groups open according to demand, so please ask admissions about availability.
Kindergarten through Grade 5 are at Dembego 12. Grades 6 to 12 are at Dembego 18. Both buildings are on Ursynów, near Metro Kabaty. We teach in small classes; the school-wide student-teacher ratio is approximately 7:1. Ask about the size of the class your child would join.
Programmes and English support
In the final years, students can pursue the IB Diploma, American High School Diploma or Polish Matura, subject to each programme’s requirements. IAS is authorised for the IB Diploma Programme, holds Cognia accreditation and operates within the Polish education system. Middle School has MYP candidate status, which does not guarantee authorisation.
We teach in English. During admissions, the school assesses the student’s language level and discusses available EAL support. The timetable and any additional charges depend on the grade and the support needed.

Complete the online application and provide the requested school records and recommendation. Admissions will explain any assessment and the steps needed to confirm a place. Please also discuss existing learning support during the application.
Fees and practical arrangements
The registration fee is annual, not a one-time payment. It is separate from tuition. Ask admissions for the current fee schedule for your child’s grade, including payment dates, discounts and additional costs such as meals, transport and IB examination fees.
If you are relocating, you can begin the conversation from abroad. We can discuss documents, a possible start date and how your child will join the class. School bus availability should be checked for your address.
