A message from Mr Uden

Dear IAS Community,

What a wonderfully spooky day it has been! Both D12 and D18 have been embracing the Halloween spirit, with a full day of activities and events taking place across both buildings.

Next week, we will have our Independence Day break. Please remember that the school will be closed from 7 to 11 November.

Student reports will be ready for distribution on 12 November.

Wishing everyone a relaxing and enjoyable break!

Best regards,
Christopher Uden

Road safety: scooters, bicycles and Surron motorcycles

Please take a moment to read the road-safety presentation from the Warsaw Police Traffic Department, available below in English and Polish.

It explains minimum ages, licences and permits, where different vehicles may be ridden, helmet requirements and the possible legal consequences for young riders and parents.

We encourage parents to read it before buying or allowing their child to use an electric scooter or a more powerful electric vehicle. Please check that your child has the required qualifications, that the vehicle meets the relevant requirements, and that it is used safely and lawfully.

Halloween at D12

Witches, ghosts, superheroes, princesses and other characters filled the corridors as students arrived in their Halloween costumes.

The day began with pumpkin painting. Later, the children joined the Halloween disco in the D18 cafeteria, with decorations, coloured lights, music, cookies, drinks and plenty of dancing.

For Trick-or-Treat, each grade prepared a challenge: mummy wrapping, trivia, bowling, corn hole and monster-making. We finished the day with the Best Halloween Costume Competition, with plenty of imaginative entries to choose from.

Halloween at D18

Students moved between classrooms for games, challenges and trick-or-treating, spending the day with friends from different grades.

Grade 11 transformed the cafeteria into a disco for D12 and D18. Students put up decorations, arranged colourful lights and created a party space filled with music and dancing. Thank you to everyone who helped prepare it.

We’re building IAS Online

We’re actively developing IAS Online, a school system for families, students and staff. It will bring student information, timetables, attendance, assignments, learning materials and school messages together in one place.

Work is under way, and we’ll share more as it takes shape.

Recommend IAS to another family

If you know a family looking for a school, please put them in touch with our admissions team. The IAS referral programme offers a 2,000 PLN tuition credit for an eligible new-family referral.

The new family must give the referring parent’s name at first contact, before submitting application documents. This is separate from the sibling discount. Please check the referral terms or contact [email protected].

Safety guidance for families and staff

We have condensed the ministry’s pupil guides into short English and Polish PDFs for families. Staff resources also include a summary of Warsaw’s crisis-response guide. The original documents are available alongside each summary.
