In the Loop: IAS Bulletin 23 April – 25 April, 2025

Dear Community,

This was a short week but with all the fun and games on Wednesday I hope that we made it a memorable one for all our students and teachers! One of the things that never ceases to amaze me at IAS is the incredible community spirit that our school has. On Wednesday this came through very strongly with the whole school community being active and engaged in fun activities together. A huge thanks goes to our student council presidents Prince and Tomek for making Egg Day a truly memorable occasion for the Dembego 12 students!

Even though we have a shorter week ahead with Monday and Tuesday off, we can hit the ground running when we return. I hope you are all enjoying the break and see you back at school on Wednesday!

Best regards,

Christopher Uden, Principal

Egg Day in D12

D12 students had a marvelous time on Egg Day! The students split into their houses and competed in a variety of Easter and egg-themed competitions.

They decorated eggs with colourful designs, pinned the tail on the Easter bunny, answered Easter trivia questions, and competed in an egg race. At the end of the day, yellow house was the winner, and we all had a great day!

Egg Day at D18

The students from Dembego 18 decided that they would like to spend this year’s egg day in the forest. Accordingly, the staff and students organised some eggciting events in Kabaty Forest. The day was split into two parts: house games and active recreation. During the house games students participated in one-kilometre races, an orienteering activity and a game of egg toss.

After the house games we had a break for lunch after which students participated in an egg hunt and had a choose of sporting activities to participate in including beach volleyball, basketball and minigolf.

The results of the house games were:
