Our current principal, Mr. Arthur O'Keeffe, who has been with IAS for over 11 years and has served as our principal for more than 4 years, will be taking a year off starting in August 2024.

D12 had a wonderful Christmas Show! Under the direction of our music teacher, Miss Alesia Ramuk, students in grades PreKG - Grade 4 performed in our show: ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. The students sang a variety of Christmas songs and performed Christmas dances. Their performances spread Christmas spirit and holiday cheer all throughout the theater. Students from Dembego 12 enjoyed their Halloween festivities. We went to a pumpkin farm, where everyone got to pick their own pumpkin, pet farm animals, ride a zip line and more. In the afternoon we decorated our pumpkins and went trick-or-treating around the school. It was a wonderful day!

After an action packed few weeks the upcoming week will give staff and students a chance to draw their breath and return to normal. Students and staff enjoyed a marvelous festival atmosphere in D12 and in D18 on Friday for our annual Halloween celebrations. Monika Nguyen and Pritika Karira have been elected as the new student body presidents narrowly defeating Zofia Gowin and Milda Statkute in the election run-off vote on Monday. They succeed Darya Konotoptseva and Milena Dederko who did an excellent job in challenging circumstances.

This is a chance for you to get acclimated with the school, meet the teachers and get all the necessary information to start the school year off right. Please note that we have divided new students and parents into three groups. Please come to school at the time indicated in the e-mail.
