Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to the 2026/2027 school year. Today the school opens with our ceremonies, held one after another so that each part of the school has its own: the youngest at Dembego 12, then Grades 6 to 10, and finally Grades 11 and 12 at Dembego 18.
Thank you to our new families
A warm thank you to every new parent who came to Orientation Day yesterday. It was a pleasure to meet you, to walk the buildings together and to answer your questions in person. We hope you left with a clear picture of how the year works and who to turn to.

Starting at IAS: a guide for new families
School transport
This year IAS is working with Little Monsters to run a dedicated home to school bus service. The company has 16 years of experience transporting children and young people, with licensed professional drivers and vehicles suited to school transport.
Routes are being built now from the addresses of interested families, so the sooner we hear from you, the better the chance of a stop near home. We are taking sign ups at school in the mornings. The estimated monthly cost is between 600 and 1,100 PLN, depending on the route. Routes, timings and the sample agreement are on the transport page.
New school meals and tasting days
Meals at IAS are now cooked by Kuchnia z Klasą, a Warsaw kitchen that works only with schools and kindergartens and has been cooking for Warsaw pupils for more than twelve years. Everything is made from scratch on the day.
Before families commit to regular ordering, students can try the food at school:
- KG to Grade 5, Monday 7 September
- Grades 6 to 9, Monday 7 September
- Grades 10 to 12, Tuesday 8 September
No registration is needed. If your child would like to take part, please encourage them to stay at school for lunch that day instead of going out to the nearby shops. Menus, dietary options, prices and the five ordering steps are on the school meals page.
The sports grounds in Konstancin
Our sports grounds in Konstancin are finished and in use. PE and football lessons will be held there through September and October, on our own grounds this time.
The grounds are the first stage of our development in Konstancin. There is more about the site, and what is planned for it, on the future campus page.
IAS Community
Timetables, Vulcan, teacher contacts and all school policies now sit in one place at community.ias.edu.pl. Access details go to families by email, never in a public post. Please keep them within your household.
Clubs, languages and the term ahead
Clubs run after school until 16:00 in both buildings. We are finalising the programme for the year, including additional language classes, and will publish activities as each one is confirmed.

- Grades 1 to 5 integration trip, Friday 25 September
- SAT exams, Saturday 3 October
- Community Week, from Monday 12 October

The Noise Makers
From this month IAS is working with The Noise Makers, an academy of music and emotional education, to widen what students can take up after lessons.
Four strands are on offer.
- Music. Vocal training, instruments, choir, band, orchestra and music production.
- Visual arts. Painting, drawing, comics, caricature, photography and film.
- Performance and writing. Acting, musical theatre and creative writing across books, journals, storytelling and screenwriting.
- Emotional education. Emotional regulation, sensory development, relaxation, yoga, breathing, concentration and mindfulness.
Classes run in groups and one to one. Ask the office for the current schedule, or see the extracurricular page.
Innovation Zone
The Innovation Zone joins the school’s AI and coding programme this year. Students build a project of their own, then present it to a panel and answer questions on the work they have made. The aim is not only to teach students to use the tools, but to think, build, explain and defend their own ideas. Dates follow during the term, and there is more on how we teach AI literacy.
More than 1,000 graduates
Since IAS was founded in Warsaw in 1989, more than a thousand students have graduated from the school and gone on to universities and careers in Poland and around the world. Your children are the next part of that count.
